One. More. Thing. One more thing and you may just lose your god-damned mind. If one more person asks something of you… If one more task gets added to your to-do list… You may just Lose. Your. Shit.
We’ve all been in this crazy-ass-stressed-the-fuck-out place where we become, uh-hem, a little less than the best version of ourselves. We scream at our kids when they need something minimal. We lash out at our spouse, or friend, or co-worker when they are just trying to help. In essence, we become committed to being super stressed out and overwhelmed.
If this sounds like I have a hidden camera installed in your place, dude, you need to have a listen to this week’s pod. BTW, no camera (#creepy)… I’ve just been in this place far too many times to count. And in this episode, I discuss 7 simple things you can do to let go of the overwhelm, stress, and mortal combat that may be driving you to the brink of insanity. Say hello to some serious peace, tranquility, and happy spouses.
This pod explores:
The three things you can do today to immediately slim down that never-ending to-do list… because, you need some free time, my friend
My favorite way to jar my mind from going down the overwhelm rabbit hole and how this shift in focus will have you chillin’ out in no time
How to figure out exactly what you need to say “yes” to and what you need to say “no” to when everything feels super important (Hint: not everything is important. For reals.)

Ever feel like… If only my boss wasn’t such and idiot, our workplace would be so much better. Or, if only my ex wasn’t such a douchebag, then my life would be so much easier. Or, if only our economy was better, then I’d be able to take care of my finances. Or, if only my mom wasn’t so damn irritating, I’d totally be happy.
If any of this sounds familiar, congrats, you’re totally normal. We don’t consciously decide to become blamers, but it often becomes our go-to behavior when we’re unhappy with something or someone in our lives. It’s MUCH easier to stand in blame (and we’re also conditioned to do so) than it is to search for your role in the matter. So, how does one go about letting go of blame?
In this week’s episode, I look at why we tend to immediately blame others, or things outside our control, why it’s a trap and totally ineffective, and what you can actually DO about it. And, trust… Get ready to feel a shit-ton better and massively more powerful.
This pod explores:
Our biological need to find the culprit and why we often turn to blame (often without realizing it)
Two major consequences that occur if we choose blame over self-care
How blame and forgiveness are related and how you can forgive and still establish boundaries
Journal prompt Q’s for you to pin-point where you get blame-trapped

The internet-driven day and age in which live is downright cray. We have the ability to connect with others all over the world in ways never before possible. But along with that accessibility, you have undoubtedly created hyperbolic stories of how amazing everyone else’s life is. How your friend from elementary school must be super happy because all her Facebook posts are #blessed beyond #blessed. And it’s likely that you may think the same about those you choose to learn from online.
Namely, myself. My colleagues. Other Personal D. experts. In this week’s episode, I bring on two of my dearest friends and colleagues to talk about our personal journeys. Andrea Owen from YourKickAssLife.com and Kira Sabin from LeagueofAdventurousSingles.com join me as we pull back the curtain on the ways in which we have changed over the last decade, what our biggest struggles were early on, and what we still grapple with today.
We discuss how we contend with our inner critics (like, daily), how we’ve managed to finesse our communication skills, and what confidence really looks like in our lives. Have a listen to this super candid chat about what it really looks like to dig into the world of self-help over a long period of time and the lessons we’ve learned along the way.
This pod explores:
The major trigger Andrea had to deal with when she first started addressing her Inner Critic and how she turned her inner conversation into personal power
Kira’s experience with navigating a new relationship in her 40s and what she does to keep the communication with her BF on point
How my personal confidence has changed and grown over the years and what you need to do to get there yourself

Unless you grew up with incredible lessons on money management, how to avoid debt, how to budget appropriately, and how to save like a mutha, it’s likely you’ve had your share of money woes. Considering there isn’t really any financial education built into academia, most of us learn how to engage with money through trial and error, tough lessons learned, and whatever example we see modeled by our parents or family of origin.
Then, perhaps you find yourself desperately trying to “adult” while wading through endless debt, having no idea what a budget would even look like, and constantly feeling like it’s just “never enough”. And wondering what those rich folks know that you clearly do not know.
This week’s episode is part 2 of 2 where I elaborate further on how to engage with your money like you fucking mean it so you can get start rollin’ in the Benjamins… or Tubmans.
This pod explores:
The role gratitude plays in your relationship with money and how this small tool can dramatically change your money magnetism
The #1 phrase you’ve likely been spoutin’ off that is KILLING your money-making mojo and exactly what you need to start saying instead. Because, riches.
The reason why you “never have enough” and the super easy thing you can do to flip that to massive abundance. Like, yesterday.
Specific exercises you can employ TODAY to get you on the road to being a #legit money manifestor

You often think things would be perfect just as soon as you had more money
You find yourself super jealous of peeps with money and think they must have done something slimy or shady to gain their wealth
Whenever you want something, you immediately think “I don’t have enough money for that”, and often shut down the possibility before it even starts
You are constantly trying to stay on top of your finances, but truth be told, you have no budget, no idea what you’re spending, and feel like you never, ever have enough

Whether you realize it or not, your “relationship” with money is much deeper than if you have enough to pay your bills or not. And, your relationship with money (as woo woo as it sounds) is dictating your wealth or lack thereof. Have a listen to part of 1 of this series where I discuss some simple steps you can take to completely change your money-magnet capabilities.
This pod explores:
How to figure out what your “money story” is, how it’s holding you back from crazy wealth, and what you need to do to shift it… Because, riches.
What it really means to be “in a relationship” with money, how you may be massively abusive to your money, and what you can do to change this dynamic… Because, wealth.
How to separate shitty situations like unexpected home repairs, doctor bills, or speeding tickets from your relationship with money and why this is HUGELY important to your financial stability. Because, Moolah.

So… You’ve checked all the boxes. You got a good education. You settled down and got married. You pursued the career. You even bought the house, had the kids, the whole thing. And yet, you still wake up some days wondering, “Is this all there is? Is this it?” And maybe you even ask yourself, “What can’t I just be fucking HAPPY!? What is the secret to happiness!!?”
I mean, you SHOULD be, right? You checked all those god-damned boxes. You did all the things. All the things that are supposed to yield happiness and somehow you’re still coming up empty. I mean… WTF!?
You wouldn’t believe how incredibly common this is. Like, staggeringly common. We live in a society that tells us how we should live our lives and in turn, how we should feel about it. So, you get to this stage of the game and you’re like, wait a minute, why don’t I feel happy?
In this week’s episode, I spill 6 suuuuper common ways you may be stifling your own happiness and ALL of them are typically done subconsciously… so yeah, you prob have no idea you’re even doing them! Have a listen and get your happy back. Boom.
This pod explores:
Why your value system is EVERYTHING and probably the biggest factor in your personal joy (even though it’s such a YAWN! topic… I get it)
Why your routine and auto-pilot schedule may be squashing your happiness + how to shift it
How to navigate the constant need for approval… ugh
How to make choices on purpose instead of constantly residing in SHOULDsville, USA

Although growing and pushing yourself to be a better person can be wildly fulfilling, it isn’t without an obstacle or twelve. For many people (probably you), they find themselves at odds with a few peeps in their world who simply “don’t get” this whole personal development thing. In fact, they may actually really like the old, unhealthy, un-boundaried, people-pleaser version of YOU.
If you’re comin’ up against this racket, honey, you are certainly not alone. When you start seeing awesome changes in your life, you #natch want to share those insights with the people you’re closest to. But, more often than not, you’re met with “that’s nice for you” or even more common, “what’s all this woo-woo, hippie shit you’re into lately?”
In this episode, I address six things to keep in mind as you start sharing your new-found enlightenment with your nay-saying friends and fam. You’ll learn specific ways to address these peeps, how to tweak your approach to get the response you’re looking for, and what to do if you need to lay down some badass boundaries.
This pod explores:
How to have compassion for your friends and fam who think you’re now a part of some internet cult
The #1 thing you MUST watch for when you approach people with tools you KNOW would help them out
Why you need to find like-minded people who’ve drank the same “koolaid” and where to find them

Tell me if this sounds familiar: You get all pumped up about a new love interest or an exciting new job opportunity and then BAM! All of a sudden you feel a sinking feeling in your belly and a barrage of commentary starts in your mind. What if he thinks I’m too high-maintenance? What if they think I’m under-qualified? What if her family hates me? What if they think I’m incompetent?
You know that mind vortex, amiright? This, my friend, is the lovely little dance between Fear and your Inner Critic. They hybrid of how you FEEL and what you are SAYING to yourself in your own mind. Much of the time they work very much in tandem, but there is a subtle difference.
Why does this matter? Because the more you can understand what negativity is happening in your mind and body, the more equipped you are to combat it… And overcome it. In this episode, I tease apart the differences between these two concepts and show you ways you can “catch” either one. The more you understand, the better you will be at choosing to listen to your powerful inner voice so you can actually find that soulmate or start that biz or go back and finish that degree. And feel damn good about it.
This pod explores:
The #1 phrase you must start listening for in order to operate from a place of confidence instead of fear
My favorite tool to distract yourself from catastrophic thinking so you can actually focus (and get) what you really want
How to know if your Inner Critic is more of a feeling or a voice or both and what to do with each of them
Two areas to focus on so you can jump from fearful and freaked-out to confident and courageous

Did you know that we experience guilt for a very specific reason? That it’s actually designed to help us? Wait, WHAT?
And, no, it’s not so you can feel like shit when your mom tells you how disappointed she is that you don’t call often enough or so you feel awful for declining an invite to a party you soooo don’t want to go to. Guilt is actually designed to alert us when we’ve done something wrong… something we aren’t proud of – NOT for when someone simply doesn’t like our choices. Oh, shit, really?
Recently a listener penned the show asking how to deal with the nagging sense of guilt and “feeling bad” that she experienced with little requests and jabs from her close friends and family members. I mean… we have all been there. So what do you do about it? If it’s not your fault, then why do you feel so shitty?
Well, that’s where I come in, Babycakes. In this episode, I break down the real-deal about Guilt – how to change what you “feel bad” about, how to identify your biggest triggers, and my absolute FAV tool for giving Guilt a nice, fatty drop-kick.
This pod explores:
Your new go-to question to ask yourself the minute you feel guilt about something (Hint, it’ll snap you out of it reeeal quick)
How to identify the people and scenarios that send you on an epic guilt trip so you can switch that shit up!
A game-changing tool you can use today to take you from a guilty mess to a powerful badass
Why you absolutely HAVE TO stop saying “But, I feel bad!” or “I feel guilty though!” and what to say instead (and, you won’t end up a heartless bitch #pinkyswear)

Recently a listener wrote to the show wondering how she should go about teaching some of the concepts she has been learning in her own personal growth journey, to her children. Although it takes many of us decades upon decades to get our shit straight, much of that is indicative of the way in which we were raised. Now, I’m not talking shit on our parents, I’m just saying we are living in a pretty conscious and evolved time where serious, deep convos with our kids are totally and completely possible. And I would argue, necessary.
Kids are often far more savvy than we give them credit for and chances are, your little love will comprehend more about this journey than you realize. In this episode, I look at 7 steps you can immediately take to start sharing some of your self-help work with your Littles. And, trust… as they usually do, it’s likely they’ll teach you a thing or two as well.
This pod explores:
The number one thing you HAVE TO start fostering in your children if you want to equip them to manage life’s roller coasters
What my pops used to do after he lost his shit on me (or my bros) and how it was one of the biggest learning lessons of my life (And why you should start doing it too)
