And I’ve Been Exactly Where You Are.

Company car, personal assistant, world travel, fancy title at a prestige cosmetics brand. I was that woman who’d “made it” in the beauty biz—and I was also dying inside. I hadn’t listened to music in my car for years (Gasp, I know.) because every moment was consumed by conference calls or [insert some other corporate bullshit].

  Jill told her aunt she wasn’t okay with the gossip their family perpetuated and would no longer participate

 

  Marissa asked her employer for double what she was being paid (and got it!)
